what Blaze said.
They could probably start an advertising campaign right now around the world and people would think it was released today.
why do people think this? That would be an absolutely idiotic business maneuver. You do not shut down a branch of your company when it starts doing well.
If the 360 were not making them money, then maybe they'd not make a new system, but it's doing very well. It has a larger part of the market and outsold the original xbox and is actually making a profit now. You may hate microsoft, but they aren't stupid enough to say no to free money.
That would not be very smart of Sony. They'd have to hedge their bets on M$ and Nintendo both messing up so they could hop in, but if neither of them messes up then Sony would end up losing more market share.
Unfortunately consoles aren't always bought off of what's good, but rather what's popular. By the time a PS4 is released, it's hype could be overshadowed just by the word of mouth of all your friends who own a nintendo or M$ console. They should shoot...
Half agree half disagree.
You don't need bucket loads of ram, but there are a lot of new technologies where ram could be used to exponentially increase game quality.
Megatextures and their equivalent in game geometry for one. The more ram you have the higher quality the results for both of those will be.
Graphics aren't everything, there's still a lot that can be done with GPGPUs and other multi-core CPUs as well as significant upgrades to the memory that would make an enormous impact on the gameplay, not just the graphics. There's also certainly a large amount of optimizations that can be made to the buses that connect all of them.
There's also a lot of optimizations that can be made to the machines to make them better for digital distribution, which is a fut...
there was crap for advertising on all these games in NA.
I think I saw an alan wake tv spot maybe 3 times EVER. With a better media push it probably would have sold a lot better.
Prince of Persia I didn't even know what coming out this soon. I think I found out about the release date after reviews were already out for it.
Crackdown wouldn't make a lot of sense outside the city. It's just worse that they didn't do much to make it different that's the problem.
Also, are you saying uncharted 2 wasn't a challenge?
it's made primarily with touch PC's in mind and being adapted for other things.
It's not that casual sucks, it's that bad casual games suck. Being that most casual games suck, people equate that to mean casual games suck.
BLENDEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRR RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR RRRRRRRR
I think it would be awesome if a AAA studio used it just because it would be awesomely hilarious to pull off something great with an open source product.
Maya is made by autodesk too. They're phasing it into a single product soon.
Zbrush is a sculpting and painting tool and isn't that great for animation or model optimizing.
That would be better tbh. Maybe then people would stop using 3D gimmicks to get you to jump, but make the movie feel stupid.
The only movie I've seen where 3D hasn't detracted from the experience is Avatar because it didn't try to do that the whole time.
if you could stream whatever movie you wanted over the free TV signal, it probably would have killed VHS.
I can actually stream more movies over the internet than exist on blu-ray.
not compressing data is stupid. There are plenty of lossless compression techniques that would be a waste not to use. Asking for an uncompressed experience is asking for less content.
Call us when you wake up.
The 360S isn't out anywhere else yet. Why would anyone even buy a 360 anywhere else right now when in a week or two they'll have either a new redesigned system for the same price, or vastly cheaper old systems?
And cumulative sales barely matter at all till the holiday. Sales from September to December make the whole rest of the year look like a giant circle jerk.
All humans can be killed in one shot by a pistol... I don't get that point.
they aren't that new. I had one in my old computer like 7 years ago.
I think they're different because every 360 chipset has different power needs.
Interchanging them could cause some badness if it's getting too much or too little power.
whoever was on the opposite team of this guy sucked balls.
